Information on English Proficiency Exam for Erasmus applications
- All students who will apply to Erasmus mobility programs (both mobility for studies and mobility for internship) have to take English proficiency exam (TOEFL ITP) that will take place at 18 March 2016 at 13:30 in the building of foreign languages. (the class number will be announced later). Those who will take the examination should fill the application form below and submit it to the International Office in person or by e-mail (intoffice@thk.edu.tr) at latest 17 March 2016, 12:00 hrs.
- There is no speaking part in the exam, in order to apply for Erasmus programs, you have to get min. 60 points from this exam
- When evaluating your results, 50% of your English exam grade and 50% of your CGPA will be taken into consideration then a list of selected students will be announced in our website.
- It is important that you should first look at http://www.thk.edu.tr/uploadedfiles/thk.edu.tr/ErasmusAnlasmalari(15-02-16).pdf page for the language of instruction of the host institution that you wish to apply. İf the first language of instruction written there is not English, you don’t need to take this examination. You are then assumed as knowing the written language in a good level that you can follow the courses and pass the exams in that language. If you fail all your courses for the reason that you don’t understand the language of instruction at the host institution, you’ll fail your exams and your term will be automatically extended and you won’t be able to get the remaining 30% grant you’re supposed to take at the end of your study period.
